How things are created have always fascinated me.
From a very young age, I would observe and question the intent of different design decisions incorporated in objects and service gestures. And when it was time to pick a path for myself, I decided to pursue a direction in fashion as my interest aligned with its user centered design principles. As I furthered my career in a fashion startup, I got involved in different projects within the company that originated in other design disciplines, which peaked my curiosity into branching out to other design fields.
I attended a multidisciplinary design master program in one of the top design schools in Asia, and based in Hong Kong got me the chance to be involved in the exciting business and design developments in the region. I gained new understandings with design research and different business related tasks, as well as participating in teams that tackled a multitude of projects which included industrial, experience, and interaction design. One of our projects was offered an opportunity at a startup incubator program in China with an initial funding. These participations had given me a new found understanding in the design industry, but as life takes me back to the US, I want to use my knowledge and experience gained throughout my career to make a difference in this field that I love and cherish.
